This rug is expertly handwoven and is the creative fruit of our local Berber Artisan, Jamila. Her knowhow has been passed down from mother to daughter for 8 generations. 
 
Symbolism
 
Butterflies: Feminine beauty, resurrection and transformation. Also associated with the development of the foetus in the womb.
Checkerboard: Cultivated fields that symbolise the fertility of the land.
